Certified Probate Specialist – What We Do…
First off let me say how sorry I am for your loss. I may not have known the loved one you lost, but I understand the pain and sorrow you feel. Words, although well-meant, never heal the hurt one feels.
As a Certified Probate Specialist, my aim is to help & support families through the process, with as little stress as possible. No, we don’t work against your attorney. In fact, we consider probate attorneys to be a part of our “team”. We work alongside them helping you with the non-legal items that need to be addressed, while they stay focused on the legal part.
What you don’t want is to be hounded by real estate investors and agents alike, wanting to purchase or list the real estate portion of the Estate. I know you need a little time to decide on the order of things, to talk with your family, and to see how the Estate is to be divided. Unfortunately, your probate application became became “public” knowledge soon after it was filed, and therefore you will be getting call after call from these types of individuals. Because of this, it’s hard to tell who is chasing ambulances and who’s sincere about helping. If selling the home is something that you’ve considered, we can have that conversation too, but for now, it’s about the creditors calling on debt owed by the Estate.
There are a number of things that need to get done during the probate process. Some by the attorney and some by the Executor, and depending on whether the Executor has full-authority or limited-authority, the court will be supervising. I know… it can get overwhelming. Here’s the deal, no obligation… I’d love to have a 10-15 minute conversation with you about how my team and I can be over service to you. It will take a while to settle the Estate. The hardest part will be in the beginning months. When you get a moment, give me a call or send me a text, and if you wish to meet in-person… I do take safety measures to protect you as well as myself. Thank you for taking the time to read this information.
